Introduction to the GDPR – Essential Employee Guide

This course covers the main changes brought into force with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the differences between the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 and the GDPR.

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is the UK’s independent supervisory authority that upholds information rights for individuals (Data Subjects).

The new law is still a work in progress and the (ICO) is issuing monthly updates in the UK but despite this, the date of 25th May 2018 will not be extended and from this date any organisation that doesn’t comply could face significant heavy fines.
